Ingredients
  

  • 1 can chickpeas drained and rinsed
  • 1/3 cup tahini
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 –3 tablespoons water
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin optional

For Garnish:

  • Olive oil drizzle
  • Paprika
  • Fresh parsley

Instructions
 

Prepare Chickpeas

  • Drain and rinse chickpeas well. Remove loose skins if you want extra smooth hummus texture.

Add Ingredients

  • Place chickpeas, tahini, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic and salt into the food processor.

Start Blending

  • Blend the mixture for one minute. Scrape down the sides to ensure even mixing.

Add Water Slowly

  • Add water one tablespoon at a time. Blend until the hummus becomes smooth and creamy.

Adjust Flavor

  • Taste the hummus. Add more salt, lemon juice or cumin if needed for better flavor.

Blend Again

  • Blend for another minute to get a light and fluffy texture.

Transfer to Bowl

  • Spoon the hummus into a serving bowl. Spread it smoothly using the back of a spoon.

Add Garnish

  • Drizzle olive oil on top. Sprinkle paprika and fresh parsley for a beautiful look.

Chill Optional

  • Refrigerate for 20 minutes if you like it cold. This helps flavors blend better.
