Ingredients
  

  • 4 large bell peppers any color
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1/2 cup onion chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Instructions
 

Prepare the peppers

  • Cut tops off bell peppers and remove seeds. Lightly rinse and set aside for filling.

Cook the meat

  • Heat olive oil in a skillet. Cook ground beef until browned and fully cooked.

Add aromatics

  • Add onion and garlic. Cook until soft and fragrant for better flavor.

Mix the filling

  • Stir in cooked rice, tomato sauce, salt, pepper and Italian seasoning. Mix well.

Stuff the peppers

  • Fill each bell pepper with the prepared mixture evenly.

Add cheese topping

  • Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top of each stuffed pepper.

Bake the peppers

  • Place in baking dish, cover and bake at 180°C for 30–35 minutes until peppers are tender.

Serve warm

  • Remove from oven and serve hot with melted cheese on top.
