Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups fresh or frozen blackberries
  • 1 cup granulated sugar divided
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup butter melted
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions
 

Preheat Oven

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Pour melted butter into a baking dish.

Prepare Batter

  • In a bowl, mix flour, 1/2 cup sugar, baking powder and salt. Add milk and vanilla. Stir until smooth.

Pour Batter

  • Pour batter over melted butter in the baking dish. Do not stir.

Add Blackberries

  • Sprinkle blackberries evenly over the batter.

Add Sugar

  • Sprinkle remaining sugar on top for sweetness and crust.

Bake Cobbler

  • Bake for 40–45 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.

Cool Slightly

  • Let cobbler cool for 10 minutes before serving.
