Ingredients
  

For the Casserole

  • 4 cups cooked chicken shredded
  • 2 cups diced ham
  • 2 cups Swiss cheese shredded
  • 1 package egg noodles cooked
  • 2 tablespoons butter

For the Sauce

  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

For the Topping

  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese

Instructions
 

Preheat oven

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F and grease a baking dish.

Prepare noodles

  • Cook noodles according to package instructions and drain.

Combine filling

  • Mix chicken, ham, noodles and Swiss cheese in a bowl.

Make sauce

  • Melt butter in a saucepan and whisk in flour.

Add liquids

  • Slowly whisk in milk and broth until smooth.

Season sauce

  • Add Dijon mustard, garlic powder, salt and pepper.

Assemble casserole

  • Pour sauce over chicken mixture and stir well.

Add topping

  • Mix breadcrumbs, butter and Parmesan. Sprinkle on top.

Bake

  • Bake for 30–35 minutes until bubbly and golden.

Serve

  • Let cool slightly before serving.
