Ingredients

  • 1 pie crust store-bought or homemade
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup cooked bacon or sausage
  • 1/2 cup onion chopped
  • 1/2 cup bell peppers chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

Prepare the crust

  • Place pie crust in a dish. Press gently and pre-bake for 10 minutes to avoid sogginess.

Cook the meat

  • In a skillet, cook bacon or sausage until browned and fully cooked.

Sauté vegetables

  • Cook onions and bell peppers in the same pan until soft and slightly caramelized.

Prepare egg mixture

  • In a bowl, whisk eggs, cream, salt and pepper until smooth and well combined.

Assemble the filling

  • Spread cooked meat and vegetables over the crust. Sprinkle cheese evenly on top.

Add egg mixture

  • Pour egg mixture slowly over the filling, making sure everything is covered evenly.

Bake the quiche

  • Bake at 180°C for 35–40 minutes until set and lightly golden on top.

Cool and serve

  • Let it cool for 10 minutes before slicing. Serve warm for best taste.

Notes

  • Use a deep dish for thicker quiche
  • Add jalapeños for spice
  • Use different cheeses for variety
  • Do not overbake to keep it creamy
  • Let it rest before slicing
  • Use milk instead of cream for lighter version
  • Add spinach or mushrooms for extra flavor
